Stumbled across this, it’s got a relaxed sound like it was made in the 80s in a bedroom with a couple of junos and a drum machine into a 4 track tape machine.

I dig it, I’d definitely study to this… If I was still at school. I wish I was. I especially like track ‘B’.

All Hell is the name of the album by Daugh Gibson on the White Denim label. White Denim said this in the press release…

“You know how James Blake brought R&B into the post-techno age? That’s what Daughn is fitting to do with country, no matter who likes it.”

I wouldn’t say I’m a big fan of country… but it does feel like what they said. It’s pretty cool. Check out a couple of tracks below.

Sebastien Tellier’s new album My God is Blue is out now and it’s pretty good. Pretty funky in places too. Like the tracks Sedulous and Cochon Ville. Mayday sounds like some smooth and sexy Metronomy song. Draw Your World has got some pretty epic electric guitar solos over big synth and piano chords. You can hear Cochon Ville below and I am sure the album has found it’s way on to Spotify etc. So check it out.

Todd Terje’s, Eurodans track got stuck in my head for years after a friend showed it to me. And now Todd Terje’s - It’s The Arps EP is some awesome upbeat electronic space-disco-funk-techno, made with an ARP-2600 analogue synthesizer (below). I don’t think I need to say much more… TURN IT UP!

Not having internet at home at the moment has helped me rediscover some music I didn’t like as much as I should have, the first time I heard it. As I managed to get tickets for Radiohead’s show in Paris (in October), I thought I would watch their brilliant live performance of The King of Limbs From The Basement. (watch the full thing here). Then I gave the remixes another listen and Jacques Greene’s remix of Lotus Flower is awesome. Check it out below.

Breakbot has a new album coming out in September called “By Your Side” and there is a track from it that you can listen to now. It’s called “Programme”.

SQUAREPUSHER - DARK STEERING

A mind melting display of electronically produced light and sound in the new video for Squarepusher’s track Dark Steering off his upcoming album Ufabulum. The live show looks like it will be very impressive. I think the comment from Squarepusher on the video describes it pretty well.

“For a while I had apocalyptic nightmares about trails of nuclear missiles in the night sky. So I aimed to recreate that strange combination of exhilaration, terror and sadness both visually and emotionally through this piece. It lead to the idea of a spacecraft leaving earth at vast speed to escape, but oddly the music also made me think of it flying through a library. So I generated the visual aspect such that, as the piece progresses, it seems as if the viewer is ever accelerating through massive corridors of books.”

The super mysterious and viral youtube video/song poster, iamamiwhoami, is headlined by Swedish sing-songwriter Jonna Lee. There has been a history of code song names and teaser video clips which all seems to be heading towards an audio/visual album release, titled kin, out on June 11th. The amazing song play has been on repeat lately. Check it out below.

It’s not new, but it’s still good. The opening track is awesome and after a proper listen to the album, a couple of tracks like Berlin and Green Light Go (featuring PVT and Siriusmo) stand out as goodens too.
